Through partnerships between Apprentis and US organisations, we piloted a practical approach to test what happens when professional development is treated as a structured, measurable outcome that continues beyond qualification. The pilot brought together apprentices from the UK, US and Canada to explore the gap between technical competence and professional autonomy, and how to close it intentionally rather than by chance.
